Travel Arrangements for Arrival and Departure

Travel tickets and visas
Our patients and their families enjoy a full travel service package that includes the provision of all necessary travel documents such as tickets, visas as well as handling any entry formalities. When booking your own travel arrangements, please note that it is advisable to book a one way ticket, as medical treatments may take longer than anticipated and delay the return journey home. We can organize your return when the time comes.

Medical transport or limousine service
One of our representatives will welcome you at the airport upon your arrival and will escort you to the hospital or hotel to assist you with your luggage and checking in.
Depending on your disease and state of health we organize the transport to your specialist clinic or hotel. We offer ambulance transport in case of frailty or medical necessity to ensure emergency treatment or we can arrange limousine transport to provide desired conveniences. Ambulance transport my be necessary as a precautionary measure even if no emergency situation is present in cases of heart disease, for example. During your stay in Germany the limousine service is at your disposal at any time.

Return
When your therapy is completed we organize your return journey. Depending on your state of health following the medical treatment, special transport arrangements may be required. For example, patients returning by airplane after a knee operation need additional legroom; they therefore have to sit in the first row with special bolsters underneath their legs. International airlines have stringent terms for transporting patients with a medical condition. Regular airplanes provide special seats or lying transportation systems. If medical attention on board is necessary, we arrange for medical staff to accompany you. Our travel service is dealing with all formalities with the airlines and we inform them to keep a watchful eye on you and ensure you are comfortable.
For patients, who are unable to take a regular airplane home, we will arrange a special ambulance flight with an airplane from our medical rescue fleet. These specialist airplanes are equipped with all medical emergency equipment to transport high-risk medical patients, accompanied by a professional medical rescue team.
